Log in to Ruijie Cloud or Controller UI
Access the Ruijie Cloud portal or local controller. Navigate to Device Config → Wi-Fi under Wireless.

Create or edit your guest SSID
Go to Wireless Settings → Wi-Fi. Create a new SSID or edit an existing one. Set Security Mode to Open (no password).

Enable Captive Portal
Go to Auth & Account → Captive Portal. Set Policy Mode to External. Set Authentication Device to Ruijie Enterprise AP. Select your guest SSID.

Enter the CaptiveWiFi portal details
In Portal Server URL enter: https://getonline.captivewifi.io/guest/ — In Portal IP enter: 138.68.152.191. Click OK.

Add Walled Garden domains
Navigate to Auth & Account → Allowlist. Add: getonline.captivewifi.io and captivewifi.fra1.digitaloceanspaces.com

Save and test
Save and apply the configuration. Connect a device to the SSID to confirm the portal loads correctly.

Does this work with Ruijie Cloud and on-premises controllers?
Yes. The CaptiveWiFi integration works with both the Ruijie Cloud portal and the local Ruijie Controller Web UI. The configuration steps are the same for both.
Do I need a RADIUS server?
No. The Ruijie integration uses the External Captive Portal method, which redirects guests to your CaptiveWiFi portal URL directly. No RADIUS server configuration is required.
Is this GDPR compliant?
Yes. CaptiveWiFi is fully GDPR and UK GDPR compliant. Every guest record includes a consent timestamp, IP address and opt-in status. A full DPIA is available on request.
Can I use this across multiple Ruijie sites?
Yes. CaptiveWiFi is built for multi-site operators. Each venue gets its own portal, branding and data set with group-level reporting across all locations.
