We use SevenRooms. How does this work alongside it?
CaptiveWiFi is an Official SevenRooms API Partner. WiFi guest data syncs directly into SevenRooms - new profiles are created for guests who aren't already in the system, and existing profiles are enriched with verified visit data. Guest tags (First Visit, VIP, Lapsed, Birthday) are applied automatically.
Will guests actually connect to the WiFi?
WiFi opt-in rates in restaurants typically run at 60-80% of covers during a service. The portal takes under 30 seconds and guests get immediate, fast WiFi access in return. The One Login feature means returning guests connect instantly - no form at all.
How long does setup take?
For most restaurant setups, the CaptiveWiFi portal is live within a day. If you're connecting to SevenRooms or another CRM, integration typically takes under an hour with our setup team. No hardware changes required if you already have a compatible WiFi system.
Is this GDPR compliant?
Yes. Every guest who connects provides explicit marketing consent at the portal. CaptiveWiFi stores a full consent record - timestamp, exact wording shown, IP address - against every profile. Guest profiles encrypt automatically after 365 days of inactivity. A full DPIA is available on request.
We have multiple sites. Does it work across all of them?
Yes. CaptiveWiFi is built for multi-site restaurant operators. One Login means a guest who visits your Soho site and your Edinburgh site is recognised at both - their profile enriched across your entire estate. You can see which guests visit multiple locations and segment them accordingly.
